This past Saturday we attended the first annual Fort Greene Food Conference sponsored by Letitia James.  Our own Xiomara Morgan was there with our famous bike blender to show people how easy and fun it can be to whip up a healthy smoothie right at home. The event had a great turn-out and Letitia even got in on the action by peddling a smoothie on our bike blender.

Fort Greene Food Conference

The Fort Greene Food Conference is a grassroots partnership of individuals and groups communicating an effective voice to Brooklynites on healthy eating. The groups goal is to educate Brooklyn communities on achieving a sustainable system in their neighborhood.

Let’s hope this will be the first of many years of Fort Greene Food Conferences and  thanks to Letitia James and Alfred Chiodo for inviting Habana Outpost to be a part of it!
